The best and worst of... Small market town... Big issues...

(And no that is not the real council's crest, this one even has 3 roast chickens on it)

Not had anything through your door? - You WON'T

If you AREN'T a postal voter please read on, this is IMPORTANT!

There has been a HUGE oversight in these elections, and many people are worried WHY they haven't received anything in the post yet about how they can vote and what to do.

Herefordshire Electoral Services recommended to Ross-on-Wye Town Council to send out "Poll Cards" to all the non-postal voters. A Poll Card would have been a letter you would receive telling you about the election and how to vote. Ross-on-Wye Town Council CHOSE NOT to send these out - probably as a cost-saving exercise - meaning that you will have had to hear about the election by word-of-mouth or social media!

BUT you DO get to vote!

The Town Council are preparing their own communications about this, but here's what YOU need to know.

Voting in person on August 14th (and DON'T forget to take your ID !!!)

You can turn up at your Polling Station between 7:00am - 10:00pm on Thursday 14th August (with your ID) and vote, as long as you are on the electoral role of course. (A list of valid IDs is at the very bottom of this page).

The Polling Stations will be able to confirm you are who you say you are upon arrival and give you with your ballot paper so you can vote there and then.

Now, if you voted in the General Election in person you will probably already know where your Polling Station is.

If you are unsure of where your Polling Station is, here’s how you find out - plus more information.
